Responsibilities

· Develop and implement strategies that align with B&D’s goals and objectives for the design, deployment, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud platforms

· Work closely with executive leadership to prioritize IT initiatives and ensure that all technology investments align with the company’s strategic direction

· Collaborate with Executives and Directors to evaluate, source, test and implement technologies and software in the construction management and administration space to help make the organization more efficient

· Keep up to date with new and emerging technologies and recommend how they can be leveraged to improve business operations

· Identify and address vulnerabilities, system upgrades, and areas for performance improvement.

· Monitor IT systems for optimal performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead efforts to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.

· Ensure optimal performance and availability of systems and networks, specifically oversight of IT ticketing system for timely issue resolution

· Create and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard the organization’s IT assets.

· Stay current on emerging security threats, ensure IT systems comply with relevant laws, and manage the organization’s cyber insurance renewal and issue resolution processes.

· Evaluate and select vendors and service providers and manage vendor relationships to ensure effective delivery of technical services

· Coordinate with the appropriate stakeholders related to software issues, upgrades and license renewals

· Conduct regular mentorship, training and development sessions to ensure IT staff and end-users are proficient in using software systems and the IT staff is properly organized, motivated and successfully functioning

· Develop, implement, and evaluate IT projects in line with the organization’s objectives

· Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration companywide, and most specifically with the IT staff, Executives and Directors

· Represent the company at industry events, meetings, conventions or networking opportunities to engage in conversations and networking that will positively grow our companies technological understanding and capacity in the construction technology field

· Manage the cyber insurance renewal and ensure reported issues are resolved in a timely manner
 

Education and Experience

· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

· Senior IT leadership experience in construction or related industry

· Relevant certifications

· Expertise in construction-specific technologies, BIM software, and mobile solutions

· Strong project, program, resource management and multi-tasking skills

· Excellent communication skills and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders

· Highly proficient in cybersecurity management and compliance

· Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position includes but is not limited to, supervision of IT Managers, IT Technicians, Business Analysts, and/or Interns.
