The Contract Analyst will conduct research, analyze and interpret legal terminology, contractual requirements and regulatory compliance; draft, edit, and negotiate fair and equitable terms and conditions in a variety of contracts and other documents; assist to mitigate risk, minimize liability and help avoid disputes or financial losses. The role requires an unselfish and approachable personality with attention to detail and accuracy; excellent technical writing and verbal communication, good time-management, and negotiation skills; and the ability to perform under pressure. Within the responsibilities of the position, assigned tasks must align with organizational goals. It requires support of projects, communication, documentation, and coordinating with various teams to create and standardize processes to reach department and company objectives. The focus of this position is to produce high-quality work based on established guidelines, policies, and procedures. Consistent work output is essential, requiring patience and a willingness to successfully complete multiple tasks at a time. Error-free work, with defined regulations and standards, are key measures of job performance accomplishment.

 

Responsibilities

· Review contractual agreements to mitigate risk, minimize liability and prevent potential disputes

· Analyze contractual clauses, stipulations, obligations and liabilities

· Verify accuracy of contractual agreements and resolve discrepancies in line with company rules and guidelines

· Recommend and draft contractual provisions and amendments

· Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with other parties

· Ensure contractual terms and conditions comply with company policies and legal requirements in each state B&D operates

· Maintain complete, accurate files

· Keep informed of amendments to contract law in each state B&D operates

· Work closely with Project Management and Service Teams

· Strong work ethic

· Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

· Advanced computer knowledge and proficiency in basic applications

· Support other Areas and Departments with various administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor

· Physical demands include long hours sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling/pushing, walking, lifting, and climbing

· Other duties, activities and responsibilities may vary and change as assigned

· Classes and or Training Programs may be required at the discretion of the supervisor in accordance with B&D’s Training Procedure

 

Education and Experience

· Higher Education Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent industry training.

· Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.

· Minimum 3 years’ experience as a paralegal, contract analyst, or related position in construction or similar industry.
