Summary
The primary role of a Boiler Technician is the responsibility of all of the systems that generate heat or electricity in a facility. The main equipment responsibilities include: Low-pressure boilers; High-pressure boilers; Power boilers; Steam boilers; and, Hot water heating systems. Boiler Technicians must make manual adjustments to this equipment during their servicing. The Laborer follows B&D’s policies and procedures and provides consistent quality customer service.

Education and Experience
The primary role of a Boiler Technician is the responsibility of all of the systems that generate heat or electricity in a facility. The main equipment responsibilities include: Low-pressure boilers; High-pressure boilers; Power boilers; Steam boilers; and, Hot water heating systems. Boiler Technicians must make manual adjustments to this equipment during their servicing. The Laborer follows B&D’s policies and procedures and provides consistent quality customer service.
Responsibilities
- Always maintain safety as a priority
- Provide routine maintenance on the equipment and systems
- Proficient use of hand or power tools when performing tasks
- Replace defective valves, filters, or steam gauges on heating systems
- Test boiler water and balance with chemicals if needed
- Monitor systems during operation and attend to any issues that may arise
- Record service data in logs
- Communicate to foremen on an as needed basis for restocking of materials and supplies for projects
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Team player
Education and Experience
- New Mexico B01 or B02 License
- Provide and maintain a clean driving record
- Valid driver’s license
- Background check
- Drug test for initial hire
- Random drug tests
- Future employees required to be organized with local union
- OSHA-10
