The primary role of the Safety Coordinator is to support site safety leadership and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory safety standards at the project or facility level. This position focuses on executing established safety programs, conducting field audits, tracking corrective actions, and assisting with training and documentation. The role requires a detail-oriented, methodical, and conscientious individual with a strong preference for quality, accuracy, and technical precision, leaving nothing to chance. Responsibilities
· Support and deliver training based on analysis of employees' needs
· Support and work with the site Safety Professional and other relevant personnel
· Safety management of people, supplies, equipment, and B&D’s Behavior-Based Safety Program (BBS), which requires participation and support
· Review, track, and communicate monthly BBS for company reporting
· Coach and counsel employees on safe work practices, job planning, and hazard prevention
· Ensure all employees have and maintain current OSHA training
· Monthly maintenance and reporting of BBS for company reporting
· Lead toolbox talks for small to large employee groups
· Create and review safety plans
· Document work observations
· Analyze safety data
· Input and track safety records accurately
· Manage and report incidents
· Maintain company, government, and facility compliance
· Identify and prevent potential workplace health and safety hazards
· Develop and apply frameworks for risk management
· Support organization change related to safety programs and initiatives
· Research and strategize on emerging and complex risks
· Collaborate across the business on varying enterprises
· Physical demands include long hours of sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling/pushing, walking, lifting, and climbing
· Job requires intermediate computer proficiency and advanced critical thinking skills
· Other duties, activities, and responsibilities may vary and change as assigned
Education and Experience
· High School degree or equivalent required
· Certification(s) in safety-related field - OSHA 30 required
· Minimum of 2 years in a safety-related role preferred
