The Procurement Manager ensures the company and staff adhere to purchasing procedures. This helps to maintain consistency as well as keeping costs within budget. The responsibilities include ensuring materials are available for production according to schedule, inventory is minimized, and cash saving management is optimized. Procurement projects require functional alignment to provide an efficient implementation process. There is a need for management skills to coordinate, source, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure we are receiving the absolute highest level of customer service and competitive pricing achievable. This job requires strong technical abilities and demands fast but carefully thought-out results. Strong leadership and control of the work process from beginning to end is necessary. The job centers around developing new ideas, systems, and technology, along with analyzing and improving on old ones. A high level of expertise is expected and the ability to spot and correct errors are important.

 

Responsibilities

· Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain the best price and service

· Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals

· Analyze market and delivery trends to develop procurement technologies and processes that support those trends

· Prepare for and participate in all Pre-Construction meetings

· Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results

· Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities

· Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls, and processes

· Implement procurement strategies to maintain the security of supply and optimum value for money

· Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of contracts

· Set procedures and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring process for the business

· Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business

· Implement change and develop new processes to better procure goods and services

· Develop, maintain, review and communicate appropriate metrics and key performance indicators and identifies problem areas for root cause and remediation

· Compliance with international and local laws governing procurement practices

· Monitor and execute the process related to standard purchase order-based procure to pay process including order placement, monitoring, expediting/de-expediting, and invoice issue resolution

· Assist with the development and implementation of procurement policies, processes, and systems

· Manage Supplier Relationships including Performance Management

· Identify new potential suppliers and conduct negotiations

· Physical demands include long hours sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling/pushing, walking, lifting, and climbing

· The job requires advanced computer proficiency, multitasking, and critical thinking skills

· Other duties, activities, and responsibilities may vary and change as assigned

 

Education and Experience

· Minimum of 5 years experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management required

· Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and supply chains required

 ·Experience with Remarcable software is desired

· Bachelor’s degree in Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
